Джеймс Лоу, архитектор, основатель фирмы James Law Cybertecture в Китае, прокомментировал эксклюзивно для НОП (англ.):

Right now in architecture, we use a technology called Building Information Modeling, or BIM, which models the entire city down to energy systems, water, and the actual design of the buildings. With this technology, we can monitor how energy is used and how efficient the functions of the city are. This is a very powerful tool for parametrically monitoring a city.

However, I think the challenge lies in the existing thought processes and rules. It’s very difficult to change these rules to allow for innovative design. We have to fight many battles to convince our stakeholders that we want to pursue something different and better. But I believe it’s a collective effort that will, over time, elevate architecture to a much higher level of design—one that is more futuristic and sustainable.
